Hello! In an attempt to reduce the amount of questions that people have and to answer them once and for all, I thought I would make this thread. It will be updated when deemed necessary so hopefully most questions can be answered here! Before we start, here are useful links that can also help you.

Frequently Asked Questions

1. Do you guys play and/or host events on PlayStation 4? Are there Xbox events?

We are hosting events on both PC and PlayStation 4, we have no plans on making Xbox events anytime soon, however.

2. How do I play with you? I want to be part of your next YouTube video!

We usually play altogether during events that you can sign up to be a part of. Go to the events forum and sign up for the event that you believe you are able to attend. There are time conversion links so that you can double-check when the event takes place in your country. To sign up, simply post a reply including your in-game username. Please mention if you are unsure whether or not you can join, it helps us a lot. Then, show up on TeamSpeak in the event channel at least 15 minutes before the event starts, launch the game and accept the host's friend request. Accept the game invites and have fun! Sometimes however, we are playing outside of events. Just show up on our TeamSpeak at any time and if there are people playing, feel free to ask for a game invite! You will get to play with members of the community and there usually should be someone to play with.

3. Do you have an official crew? Can I be part of it?

Yes, we do. Feel free to join GTAmissions crew as it is the official NextGenGTA crew, regardless of whether you join our events or not; the crew is public. Please note that being in a crew doesn't really improve your chance of joining us while we play during events, however, you will be able to join other crew members. It is mainly a PC crew. Additional information about crews can be found here.

4. Do you need to join the crew to participate in events?

No, you do not. It is only recommended, but not necessary.

5. Do you need to be on TeamSpeak during events? Do I need a microphone?

Yes, most of the time you will need to be on TeamSpeak during events, as hosts will give crucial information on there. You don't have to have a microphone, although it is recommended, and you don't have to talk, so long you can listen to what is going on without a problem. There is a tutorial on how to install and connect to our TeamSpeak server which can be found here. Showing up on TeamSpeak is also a way for us to determine who is joining and who is not.

(More will be added as other periodic questions arise.)

That isn't really related to the community... but you need to know you Social Club credentials or you won't be able to play online. Try to reset your password from their website.
Why wont you play on Xbox? Its the only platform I have and I would love to hang out with you guys at least once

Not many members own an Xbone. Most play on PC and occasionally PS4.
So there is a question ''How do I play with you?'', but there is no question ''how to be part of this community?'' which i find odd.
So does the second frequently asked questions regard all new unknown people or just the new people that joined the community?
I would find it strange that you would let everybody (even the people that nobody knows) join the event. This could bring all kind of chaos!

And yes i would like to join this community. I have been watching your youtube channel for some time now. Love it

2nd FAQ - Yes, anyone can join.

We let everybody that signed up join the events. There are some trolls, but we just don't invite them to the next job.

so if you sent your username to a open event but it didnt show up on sign up list and then the event sign ups closed does that mean i am not signed up?

Check your friends list on social club and see if the event host sent you a friend request , If not PM the event host and ask for a friend request to be able to join the event.

Hello , Welcome to NGG m8. If you can understand what the event host is saying then yeah , It should be fine.
Kartov's answers are on point. I'll reiterate to make things clear.

Yes. So long you show up at the beginning of the event, you are allowed to leave anytime. If you believe you may have to leave during the event, when signing up for an event, you're encouraged to mention so in your post to warn the host about it. (Same goes for when you are going to be late, or might not be able to join the event at all, to which you may post "maybe").

So long you signed up before the sign-ups closed, you are signed up. Just to be sure, you should make sure to add the host in your friends list. The host may not always update the list straight away but can verify whether you signed up or not. If you are on TeamSpeak, you will most likely be invited.

Lots of us aren't native English speakers and honestly we do not demand extreme knowledge. As long as you can understand basic instructions quickly (go there, do or don't do this, etc), you'll be fine. We make sure to repeat the rules and make them clear. Having said that, you may not appreciate events as much if you don't understand our jokes.
