New Laptop - BrapsMcswagger - 03-20-2017

Hi everyone! I'm not the best when it comes to knowing stuff about the specs of PC's or Laptops, I assume some of you are. I play GTAV on PS4 and Laptop. My laptop is an i7, DELL with a GTX Graphics card. It does the job I suppose but it's become worn out and I'm looking for buying a new device that can run GTA V and some simple software at atleast 60fps.

If you guys could reccomend certain specs to me, what price range I should be looking for, particular brands and whether it's better to have a PC or Laptop. Any recommendations would be great thanks.  Big Grin

If you don't need portability and want best price/performance, build a desktop.
Here's a good website for picking your budget and distribute it between parts: http://www.logicalincrements.com/ , your budget for 1080p60 should be around 900$.
Another good website for actually making part lists: https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/list/

Of course a gaming desktop pc is much better than laptop in a lot of ways but if you need portability then go for PCSpecialist, thats where i got my laptop from, runs any game no problem at high settings.

RE: New Laptop - Lenichelle - 03-21-2017

2012, I ordered my pc from pcspecialist - GTX 560ti, 8GB RAM, i7 only £800 cos GTA IV in this time.

Later, I upgraded to GTX 970, 24GB RAM, 750W Power Supply by myself

Recommend to get PC not laptop cos slow and overheat easily also difficult upgrade.

Pounds, right? I assume that's only for the tower?

Here's a list: https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/list/Fz9g4C

Choose a cheap-ish case.

Well that mean you only play GTA @ 60fps and softwares of course that's good price. see what randoom posted here choose your choice. Good luck

You can skip ssd if u wanna save money cuz it does not matter once the game is loaded.

SSD is a no-brainer for this build. It affects all of times, not just games.

Hi Braps,

Make sure to get a decent Motherboard as well, and compatible with all these parts!
